Wooden Challenging Toy
This Nina Ottosson wooden Dog Brick will challenge your dog! Like most of the Ottoson Dog Activity Toys, this box is made of wood in Sweden. This puzzle has a treat indent at the end of each channel. The sliders cover the treats. The object is for your dog to move the sliders to reveal the treats. Turn the box sideways, and your dog will have the move them the other direction! The Brick is about 16 inches long by 10 inches wide.

Norman likes trying these toys -- whenever there is a treat involved, he is ready to try anything. You can see him try to figure out each one and what he is suppose to do to earn the treat. Betsy is not interested in these puzzles. I think that is because she is not food motivated and so she is not willing to waste her brainpower on these puzzles. However, she does watch Norman do them -- I fully expect that one day she will walk over and solve each one without any practice. We love our Betsy!

These toys are designed to challenge your dog, stimulate its problem solving ability and an outlet for its energy. These Brain Activity toys/games are easy to get out and fun to use for both you and your dog. Don't leave your other pets out of the fun -- these are great for cats, rats, and all pets. Remember, this is an interactive and NOT a chew toy.

Great for stimulating the brain!, 3.29.2010

My German Shepherd loves this one! The only challenge is getting him to not chew on the pegs once he pulls them out. Without the pegs, after two months with this, he now has it down to 1 1/2 minutes to empty all the slots. With the pegs, it's a good 5 to 8 minutes of activity. I highly recommend using Pounce cat treats for this game as they have a strong aroma, are tiny, and dogs can't resist cat treats!

I have a 7 month old puggle puppy who is super hyper and super smart. He is also highly food motivated. This puzzle is great, especially as a first buy. It's easy to operate and challenging for my puppy without being so hard he gets frustrated. He does loose interest pretty quick but that's his nature and I'm sure has nothing to do with the toy. I also love how you can adapt it to be harder or easier depending on how much you want your pup doing. Overall a good buy, worth it to stimulate a dog's mind and keep them busy.
