Helps Sound Phobic Dogs
I have been looking for a CD like this for a long time because we have eMail from so many dogs that are afraid of different sounds. This CLIX Noise & Sound CD has 30 common sounds. Sound desensitization is a proven technique to prevent and treat sound phobias in dogs. You can play the track that your dog is afraid of repeatedly...first starting softly then gradually getting louder. You can also play this CD for puppies to prevent them reacting to the sounds later. While listening to this CD with my dog for the first time I was very disappointed. Some of the sounds are accurate and realistic like the firework tracks. However a lot of the tracks sound like poor sound affects pieced together. Particularly the gun track the motorcycle track, and the thunderstorm track. I don't know what they think a gun sounds like but that's not it. I would save your money and find a better sound sampling.
