I was attracted to this product for two reasons, the first is because this product is made in the USA and the second is because Norman can be a compulsive licker. Norman's vet recommended putting duct tape on one of his lick granulomas -- I could never quite bring myself to do that. Norman licks so much that he has a -- stop licking command -- he is not very happy but he will stop licking for a while. Anti-Lick Strip Prevent have adhesive on the back and ground cayenne pepper, ground oregano leaf, lemon powder, and clove oil on the front. The herbs are contained in extra-fine mesh -- so if your dog licks it they will get the nasty taste. You clean the area, wipe it with an alcohol wipe (enclosed with the strip), and put it on like a Band-Aid. Since we moved, Norman has not had a licking problem so I cannot tell you if these work; however, these have been tested by Veterinarians and have positive reviews. This package of 6 SMALL Strips is recommended for dogs 11 to 20 pounds.
