A Few Barks From Betsy...
Norman and I have been so busy trying to keep up with all of the new toys that mom found for us to test. Yes, we are still working on the ones that she found last spring. Now I heard her say that she is going to more trade shows this fall! It is a hard job approving all of the dog toys that mom finds...but someone has to do it. If you ever what to see what is new in our store, just click on What's New at BFGS on our home page.
Enough barking about dog toys. What you really want to know about is me! We have been pretty busy on the farm this summer, Norman and I (me mainly because Norman takes way to many naps) helped dad in the garden. We love to go in the garden and sniff around. Did you know that corn plants fall on Norman if you run through them? I think I really helped dad when I tried to dig up that critter that was in the tomatoes. I did not find the critter, but I worked hard at trying. I do not like tomatoes do you?
Mom thinks that I should tell you about the snake in the barn...I do not think it was such a big thing but our mom does. You see one afternoon mom heard me do my "I found a fun critter" bark, and seeing that the day before I had my nose in a pipe barking at another critter, mom thought that she should find out why I was barking. I met mom at the barn door and took her to the place where critter-of-the-day was. The critter moved, and mom wonder what kind of critter would move like a flash then go right back to where it started. When it started to rattle -- mom knew what it was. She yelled at me, but I was really having too much fun with my new noisy friend to listen. She ran to the office to get a leash. The warehouse manager, Jose, figured out what she was yelling about and when mom got back to the barn, he told her not to go in. I wondered what they were talking about and walked out of the barn to see what I was missing. The next thing I knew I was in the van with my mom, it turned out she took me to the emergency animal hospital. I was pretty nervous because mom was so upset. It turned out that there was no reason to be upset because I dodged that striking critter -- no bites at all. It was a good thing that Jose would not let my mom go back into the barn because if she had put a leash on me I might not have been able to dodge that silly critter. Jose is our hero. Now Norman is mad at me because we both had to go see Dr. E the next day and get Canine Rattle Snake Vaccines. So, if you like to find critters and there are rattle snakes in your area, you might have to go to your doctor and get a vaccine too! See I told you it was a boring story.
Hope you had a great summer. I will bark at you again real soon!
