Tasha Van Wie Blakeslee
By mom

Our Princess Our beloved Tasha girl died on November 15, 2007. Janet Van Wie, Candy's best friend, adopted Tasha from the Phoenix Arizona Humane Society in 1999. Tasha's birth date was unknown. When her mom, Janet, died of cancer Candy, Dean, Betsy, & Norman Blakeslee adopted her.

Tasha was best known for her barking, love of food, looking cute, and lots of barking. She loved wearing fancy collars, and playing with children. Her "happy - it's food time - dance" made every meal time entertaining. Every morning when she arrived at the office she was greeted by Maude (the office cat) -- they loved romping and sniffing each other's butts. Tasha was the perfect referee to any roughhousing dog game -- all dogs respected her referee bark. Tasha was a consultant in her brother and sister's business, BestFriends General Store.

She is survived by David & Elizabeth Van Wie and their children Garret, Bridget, Marie, and Bartolo; Susan (Van Wie) & Steven Suggs and their child Zera, Candy & Dean Blakeslee and their children Jay & Kari Carter (their children Sanosi & Tut Tut), Raphael Carter, Maude, Norman, and Betsy.

Everyone who ever met her, especially by our Super Bowl guest, will miss Tasha. Last year she was so excited by our Super Bowl guest that while barking, poop shot out of her -- which earned her the loving nickname of Poop Rocket.

Tasha is now with her mama Jan. She no longer has to get a bath, have a haircut, or her nails trimmed. Happy barking, Tahsa -- may your food bowl always be full.
