Water Toy Summer Fun at Cosmo Dog Park
A Few Barks From Betsy... I wish all of my friends could have been at Cosmo Dog Park with us. Norman, mom, dad, and I took some fun summer floating water toys to the park to see what dogs, who love to play in the water, thought of them. They were a big hit!
Norman and I picked out the toys and produced the video. Dad is our cameraman and mom does what we say. Cosmo Park in Gilbert Arizona has been voted the Best Dog Park in America -- now we understand why. There were so many dogs...we wonder if they knew we were coming.
Watch our award winning (we gave it our own award) video! (You can double click on the video to make it larger.)
Selecting the dog toys was hard work because Norman nor I had never been to a pond or lake before -- in fact, we have never even seen a swimming pool. Mom told us that the toys should float...so, we tested a few in our water dish. Here are the toys that we selected and what our, new aquatic dog, friends thought of them.
Combat Toss n Pull -- This was a big hit with large and small dogs at the park. The big dogs grab it by the fetch stick part and the little ones grab it by the rope. It was easy for everyone to bring to shore.
6 inch Romp n Roll Jolly Ball -- This was a huge hit with several dogs, especially our beagle friend. When no one would throw it for him, he would swim it out and then bring it back. He loved it so much we told him that he could take it home.
Tangerine Huck Ball -- Several dogs liked this toy. However, one dog loved this toy because every time they went to grab it went underwater -- they loved diving in to get it.
Galaxy Glow Football -- This was a favorite of the children, that were at the park -- they loved throwing it. Small dogs pushed this ball until they could grab one of the ends; however, large dogs grabbed it and brought it back so someone could throw it again.
Fetcher Fling Ring -- From Great Danes to little dogs they all loved this toy. It was easy for everyone to grab and easy for people to throw. Plus, the bright colors made it very visible in the water.
Large Floating Pooch Tube -- This is an all around great water toy. Some dogs grabbed it and one smart dog put it on his nose. We wish dad had gotten video of the dog carrying it on his nose.
Fire Hose -- This toy made it to the dock, where dogs were jumping off and fetching toys way out in the lake. This seemed like a favorite toy for the dogs as well as the people doing the throwing.
Oh, what did we do with the toys that our friends tested? We left them at the park for all of the dogs to enjoy. We hope to see you the next time we go to the dog park.
